1. Eligible projects:

Businesses that did not have sales revenues before 1st of January 2008; or businesses to be launched in 2009;
The headquarters of the business must be located in the metropolitan area of Montreal (see map: www.mamr.gouv.qc.ca/publications/cartotheque/cmmontreal.pdf);
At least 50% of the business must be owned by a woman/ women; or the contribution of woman/women for the establishment and/or development of the business must be clearly demonstrated;
The contestants must be 18 years of age or older, Canadian citizens or permanent residents;

2. Non eligible projects:
Is not considered to be a new enterprise :

A change in the legal form of the enterprise;
The expansion of an existing enterprise

Illegal or exploitative projects

Evaluation criteria:

Business profile
Social and environmental responsibility
Realism and coherence
Viability
Originality
Presentation

Deadline for registration: 21st of May, 5PM

REGISTRATION
1) Obtain the application form

2) Prepare a business plan or an action plan - 50 pages maximum, 1.5 line spacing, with a table of contents and financial statements for two years.

3) 40 $ registration fees, payable by check in the name of Compagnie F.

4) Bring or send us 4 copies of your business plan or action plan to:

All the contestants have 10 minutes to present their projects to the jury panel. The business plans will be reviewed after the presentations. The finalist might be invited to a second interview.

CONFIDENTALITY
The Women’s entrepreneurship challenge will respect the confidentiality of all the projects. However, we have the right to use the names and a brief description of the projects for our promotional activities and during the prize giving ceremony. A confidentiality contract will be signed by the members of the jury.
